The new version, dubbed "Security Update 2007-009 1.1" (don't you just love this kind of nomenclature?), comes in three flavors: for Leopard users (requires 10.5.1), for Tiger PowerPC users (requires 10.4.11), and for Tiger Intel users (requires 10.4.11). Apple, Inc. has filed for a patent in the U.S. for a Digital Rights Management (DRM) system for controlling where software runs.
